What our donors have to say..

  • Missy

The doorway to Giving is reflecting on what you have been Given.

As a past FIH player, coach and long time NCAA and USA development coach, the depth of opportunity through USA field hockey has been immeasurable.

The PRIDE of competing for the country. The PAIN of not qualifying for the Olympic Games. Being able to experience world cultures. The opportunity to meet and make lifetime friends.

When committing to a high performance profession, there are daily Yings and Yangs, high and lows and competitive energies that KEEP you going.

Qualifying for a 3rd straight Olympic Games with back to back Pan American Champions is an obvious step towards FIH dominance. Maintaining the necessary competitive recourses is imperative for this goal to become a reality.

For the love of country and of winning, please join me and the group by supporting our elite athletes, coaches and umpires. Thank you!

As a former professional athlete, I know how important “behind the scenes” support can be. It would seem to be even more important when it comes to Olympic sports. That is why I have decided to join with my wife in support of the US Field Hockey Foundation.

I have had the honor of meeting some of these young people. In my view, they are some of the finest our nation has to offer and represent their country with distinction. I was fortunate enough to witness the women’s most recent triumph, a gold medal winning effort in Toronto in the Pan American Games. What a thrill to watch these young women compete against some of the best teams in the world and come out on top.

Please join me in supporting these athletes. They put their lives on hold to represent their country. As we head to Rio, let’s give them the support they need and deserve.

Contributing to the Foundation is something that I take with serious responsibility.

Very few individuals have the honor to represent USA on the playing field and for all of them is a dream come true. The years of preparation each of these individuals invests to represent the USA is astonishing. Their commitment, sacrifice and loyalty to the program and their teammates are unmatched. But with this honor comes the daily challenges of being the best representative they can be on and off the field. As a contributing member to the Foundation, we cannot help them through the ups and downs of the daily work required with this immense opportunity. But we can help by providing the financial support necessary for the players and the support staff to compete at the highest level. Providing them with resources that will allow them to overcome the many challenges while positioning them for optimal performance.

I am grateful and privileged to be part of the solution, which is the Foundation. The Foundation gives us the opportunity to provide the National Program with the means necessary to represent our country in the best possible way. At times it seems like my contribution unfairly compares to the athletes daily commitment to the program, but with everyone doing their part, we will together make a huge impact.
